I.S.Rivers will follow the <strong>1st open-to-all &nbsp;festival called &nbsp;\u00ab\u00a0<em>Between the Rh\u00f4ne and the Sa\u00f4ne rivers<\/em>\u00ab\u00a0<\/strong>, organized from July 1st to 3rd by the city of Lyon. An initial experiment was conducted on a linear stretch of quays to remove the obstacles to the development of the green and blue network in the sectors most lacking in terms of biodiversity. The objective: to reactivate the dynamics of the alluvial margins on a dozen hectares. This perception can be very mixed: from rivers that need to be tamed to serve human interests or dynamics to&nbsp;living rivers that function as the lifeblood of the land. The example of the Otaki River and its Maori residents in New Zealand illustrates the multiple benefits of an approach based on connection and respect rather than control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong><em><strong><em><strong><em><strong><em><strong><em><strong>B1 session \u2013 Tuesday 5 July at 2:00pm<\/strong><\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#ff7350\" class=\"has-inline-color\"><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong>Involving local communities in a restoration project<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/mark><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:5px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>We are heading south of Lyon, with the project to restore the river dynamics of the Rh\u00f4ne, which questioned its social utility. An experimental consultation based on collective arenas of exchange with users to identify very different visions of expectations and perceptions of nature in the face of a \u00ab\u00a0restoration\u00a0\u00bb process requiring heavy intervention on the site. Why is it so?
