Outre les effets indirects, les navires exercent une force directe sur les zones littorales en augmentant la vitesse du courant et en cr\u00e9ant des vagues. Ce ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne affecte non seulement l&rsquo;\u00e9rosion et augmente la turbidit\u00e9, mais touche \u00e9galement tous les groupes d&rsquo;organismes et peut donc modifier les r\u00e9seaux alimentaires. Pour prot\u00e9ger les \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes aquatiques des vagues provoqu\u00e9es par les navires, des mesures d&rsquo;att\u00e9nuation morphologiques peuvent \u00eatre mises en \u0153uvre. Il s&rsquo;agit notamment de mesures \u00e0 l&rsquo;int\u00e9rieur des cours d&rsquo;eau, telles que des \u00eelots de bancs de gravier, ou de mesures sur le littoral, telles que des \u00e9pis modifi\u00e9s. \u00c0 ce jour, il n&rsquo;existe aucune vue d&rsquo;ensemble des mesures existantes et de leur impact sur les \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes d&rsquo;eau douce et de transition. La France poss\u00e8de un des plus longs r\u00e9seaux de voies navigables en Europe. Avec l\u2019augmentation de ce type de transport, les probl\u00e9matiques li\u00e9es au milieu fluvial vont devenir un enjeu primordial afin d\u2019optimiser l\u2019utilisation des voies navigables tout en prot\u00e9geant le milieu et sa biodiversit\u00e9. Le passage d\u2019un navire dans une voie confin\u00e9e g\u00e9n\u00e8re des courants et des ondes importants susceptibles d\u2019interagir directement avec le milieu. Ces interactions se traduisent par une \u00e9rosion accrue et une augmentation de la concentration des particules en suspension.&nbsp; Le projet INFLUE (Impact de la Navigation FLUviale sur l\u2019Environnement) financ\u00e9 par l\u2019ANR a pour objectif de combler le manque de connaissances scientifiques li\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019impact de la navigation fluviale sur la mobilisation des s\u00e9diments sur les berges et le fond. Un objectif est de caract\u00e9riser ces ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes hydrodynamiques en fonction des propri\u00e9t\u00e9s des navires et des conditions hydrauliques (morphologie du fleuve) \u00e0 partir \u00e0 la fois d\u2019essais en bassin des car\u00e8nes, de simulations num\u00e9riques et de mesures de terrain. De l\u00e0, la relation entre ces ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes et la d\u00e9gradation\/protection du milieu fluvial sera \u00e9tudi\u00e9e. Ceux-ci sont essentiels pour l&rsquo;\u00e9conomie, l&rsquo;\u00e9cologie et la qualit\u00e9 de vie dans la r\u00e9gion de la mer du Nord. Cependant, leur utilisation changeante et de plus en plus partag\u00e9e entra\u00eene une diminution de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9, de l&rsquo;accessibilit\u00e9 et de l&rsquo;habitabilit\u00e9. Connected River s&rsquo;attaque \u00e0 ces probl\u00e8mes en mobilisant des \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes multipartites, en menant une innovation agile centr\u00e9e sur l&rsquo;utilisateur et en acc\u00e9l\u00e9rant l&rsquo;adoption de solutions num\u00e9riques\/intelligentes. Sur la base des enseignements tir\u00e9s de six zones pilotes locales, le projet d\u00e9veloppe une m\u00e9thode appel\u00e9e Flow Forward et une feuille de route sur la fa\u00e7on d&rsquo;int\u00e9grer cette approche dans les strat\u00e9gies d&rsquo;innovation.
